The brand’s Soccer Is Here campaign, where Heineken compares its own history in the US to the rise of football, talking about everyone saying its name wrong in the beginning and how it gradually earned people’s respect.
Following several film spots, the latest execution in the campaign is a web and mobile platform that allows users to search for nearby bars that are showing their team’s match on TV. The platform is built on Google Maps and also uses the search engine’s Local Guides, Places and Search functions. Users can search using team and league-specific information. The platform is initially limited to New York and requires bar owners to opt in and update their web pages to keep it up to date.
