Walr officially accredited Great Place to Work®

Walr, the res-tech company behind the Walr data creation platform, today announces its official accreditation as a Great Place to Work®.

Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture. Founded by business journalists Robert Levering and Milton Moskowitz, Great Place to Work® is built on the belief that great employee experiences are better for people, for business and for the world.

Walr

They’ve been listening to employees for over 40 years, applying data and insights using millions of voices and leveraging around 10,000 organisations across the world, every year, to benchmark individual performance.

The Great Place to Work® certification process covers three key parts; surveying employees, auditing culture, and getting certified (recognition based only on employee experience).

With a focus on ‘delight through dedication,’ Walr prides itself on going above and beyond for its clients, committed to delivering best-in-class service. They choose consistently to act in the interests of its customers – with integrity, honesty, and fairness.

While dedicated to providing excellent service, Walr also believes in flexibility for its employees and does not expect them to work all hours of the day to respond to ad hoc customer requests. Instead, it ‘follows the sun’ and leverages its advantage in being a global company; intelligently utilizing colleagues in various parts of the world.

Its Project Management team in particular has members across India, the UK, and the US. It is common practice that, when a UK employee signs off for the evening, a US employee steps in to manage after-hours requests; an India employee then picks things up after that, and so on. A process like this could not run seamlessly without a foundation of trust between one another. The entire team believes in the same values and aims to save employees from burnout by offering true flexibility.

Walr is a team that equally emphasizes individual accountability and collective success. The team takes time to value each other’s contributions, invest in growth by prioritizing Learning & Development, and celebrate milestones during Monthly Group Meetings. By focusing on inclusivity and leaving egos behind, Walr sees that the whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts.

Emily Whiting, Walr Chief of Staff, comments, “Walr is honoured to be officially certified as a Great Place to Work, UK, a validation of the work we are doing to build a global workplace and culture that is engaged, empowered and collaborative.”
